Elixa Tifa Lockheart was hoverboarding towards a ring of trees in the park at New Pretty town. Inside the ring were large groups of partying Pretties. Lights hovered above the party, thier multicoloured lenses flashing, sending spots of blues, greens, reds and yellows around the trees. Elixa wore only her normal clothes; She preffered them to the suffocating Sneaksuits any time. She bent and leaned, her arms out to the sides for balance, her feet pushing the hoverboard forward. She ducked, narrowly escaping a whack from a branch. She shook herself; that was something good about Sneaksuits, perfect night vision. Even though her eyes were made to see in the dark after the operation, the weird nightvision was nothing compared to the Sneaksuit's. The music became louder as she neared, pulsing from hovering speaker chips. The Prettie's voices blended together in a general hum, making it impossible for anyone but a Special to pick out individual conversations. Where is she? Elixa breathed softly to herself. Leilla was supposed to meet her here. The mission was to pick out any Smokeys at the party. They were supposedly rallying more Pretties and Uglies to run away to the wild with them and take a cure for the pretty lesions on thier brains. Elixa knew what it was like to have those lesions, she was a pretty way before she was a Special. She was part of a group called the Crimms, who did every crazy thing to stay 'bubbly' and fight off the mind dulling lesions. She was special even before she became an official Special; she was daring and wild and much the same as she is now, but all that from her pretty days has only been magnified.

Leila was pushing her hoverboard to its' limit. Why did he have to be so randomly gorgeous? She had stopped to flirt with a random pretty on her way to meet Tifa and had set a date for tomorrow night. She sped through the trees, slowing as she got near to the party. Looking around from the treetops where she hovered, she spotted Elixa farther to the left of the party. Hovering her board down to Elixa's level, she made her way toward her. Coming to a stop beside her she whispered " Hey, I'm too late am I, Lixxy-wa?"

Elixa turned to face Leila as she hovered up next to her. " Where have you been, Lilly-wa?" Lilly-wa had been Leila's special nickname since she and Elixa had become specials. Trying to say 'Leila-wa' was far too tongue twisting. By the look on Leila's face, she had met a guy. Elixa could always tell, since Leila always had this star-struck look on her face after meeting a cute random pretty. Elixa shook her head. Why did her sister love prettys so much? Elixa herself would rather have a special for a boyfriend... It would be to weird being with a random pretty. Breaking off her thoughts, she came back to the real world. And the real world right then didn't include her boyfriend, Zane, by her side. " Never mind, where you have been, I've already guessed it anyway. Now, back to the situation at hand...Stop thinking about the guy, Lilly-wa!"
